We Stand Behind Our Products and Our Warranty

Limited Warranty – Parts

Grand Stands, Inc. provides a limited ten-year warranty (with certain exceptions listed below) that our products will be free from defects in materials or workmanship when operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product. Coverage begins on the date of purchase, and applies to the original purchaser only and original installation. A warranty claim can only be submitted to us by the original purchaser, and must be submitted within thirty days of the occurrence of the defect. Grand Stands will repair or replace, at its option, any defective parts or products that we determine are covered by this warranty. Except as set forth below, our limited warranty covers parts only, and does not include labor costs. If a product or replacement part has been discontinued, Grand Stands reserves the right to offer a different product or part that we deem of equivalent functionality.

Five and Three Year Warranty – Certain Components

The following parts/components have the applicable warranty period set forth below, subject to the same terms and conditions, and limitations, as our general parts warranty above.

  • Palmrest: 5 years
  • Mouse surface: 5 years
  • Worksurfaces: 5 years
  • Custom Parts and custom components: 3 years

Exclusions/Not Covered By The Warranty

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Changes in surface finish, including color-fastness or matching of colors, woodgrains, or textures,or warping of worksurface.
  • Any damages or malfunctions in the product caused by repairs, or attempted repairs, performed by anyone not affiliated with or authorized by Grand Stands.
  • Any product that has been damaged by or subjected to misuse, abnormal handling or impact or products subject to improper use and conditions. Our limited warranty is based on normal use of not more than eight hours per day.
  • Products that were not installed, used, or maintained in accordance with product instructions and warnings.
  • Damage or marking of surfaces caused by sharp or foreign objects.
  • Damage in shipment caused by a carrier.
  • Any product or part that has been modified, altered, tampered with, or repaired by any person other than an authorized representative of Grand Stands.

Labor

Labor costs incurred by Grand Stands or an authorized repair facility to repair or replace a defective part or product that is covered under the warranty set forth above will be covered by Grand Stands only as follows:

  • V3 and L3 bases – For a period of five years from the date of purchase.
  • V2 and L2 bases – For a period of three years from the date of purchase.

Labor for repairs made by anyone other than Grand Stands or a repair service authorized by Grand Stands shall not be covered or reimbursed. Any labor costs outside of the time periods set forth herein for labor shall not be covered or reimbursed.

Other Limitations

This warranty shall apply to the original purchaser only and the original installation, is non-transferable, and is not applicable outside the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Any repairs authorized by Grand Stands will be during normal business hours at standard labor rates approved by Grand Stands, Inc., and shall be performed with non-union labor. The warranty set forth above is the sole warranty provided, and Grand Stands, Inc. expressly disclaims any and all other warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including, without limitation, any implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or mechantability. Grand Stands’ only obligation under this warranty is the repair or replacement of defective parts. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Grand Stands shall not be liable for any direct, special, indirect, incidental, exemplary, or consequential damages or delay, including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits or loss of use.
